Our Wounds Will Be No More

When Jesus was raised from the dead he still had the holes in his hands, feet and side from the torture of being hung on that old rugged cross.  When he appeared to the disciples the second time, after his resurrection; he told Thomas to put his fingers in the holes of my hands and thrust your hand in opening of my side.  The scars of the battle taken place on the cross was still evident in his resurrected body.  God’s word tells us that by these wounds we are healed therefore the wounds we suffer in this body will not be evident in heavens welcoming. Max Lucado says it this way.  “In heavens accounting only one wound is worthy to be remembered.  And that is the wound of Jesus.”  Our wounds will be no more.  Begin today to allow the suffering, torture and tearing of his body at the hands of the Roman soldiers and the cross to heal the wounds this life has afflicted upon you.  Allow his heart to replace the numbness, hardness, and bitterness of yours.  Let the wounds of Jesus overshadow your wounds of regret, betrayal and abuse.  Oh how he loves you this day and longs to be the healer of your mind, soul, and body.  And then your wounds will be no more.  Eternal healing from the inside out can start, even now.

Thanks for listening, Pastor David
