1st Service is History
And what beautiful history it was, with much more to be made! Hundreds of people gathered for our very first service at the new location in Watertown right off Arsenal Street. Anticipation was high as people got to see the renovated interior, many for the very first time.
Greeted by friendly faces at the door, attendees entered a bustling, palm tree laden lobby complete with flowing waterfall and giant mural of the church logo. With the worship team tuned up and ready to go, Tony & Hannah Hayner led the first service into rejoicing and thanks to God for the new tool given us. But Pastor Kirk’s message blasted home the point that this is not about New Life Christian Church or a nice building…it’s completely about the Harvest. He challenged all of us to focus outward, never inward, and warned against pride, repenting of it himself. He reaffirmed his commitment to see the county won for Christ and to join with the Church of Jefferson County as a whole.
All those who worked tirelessly on the building were applauded and thanked, and following the service everyone lingered in the new lobby, talking, laughing and marveling at what the Lord has done.
To those who were there, thank you for coming to celebrate this momentous occasion with us; to those that would like to come, our new location is in the Stateway Plaza on the northeast corner of Arsenal St. and Rt. 81. Service time is 10:00am.
Blessings!
Pastor Christopher Hopper
