Our Beliefs

Serving Northern New York for Jesus.

This means we are passionate about preaching and teaching the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and bringing life to those who are in need of spiritual, physical, emotional and mental liberation. This also means creating a safe and engaging environment for worshippers to gather and for observers to discover.

We highly encourage those interested in knowing what we believe and why we believe it to attend our Connections Classes which are taught bi-annually by our Pastoral Staff and Board of Elders. You can find out more about when these classes run by visiting Guest Connections in any of our campus lobbies, or by calling the church office at (315) 788-0825.

We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving, utterly faultless, and completely holy.

We believe that Jesus Christ, as both God and man, is the perfect expression of God to humanity. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross in love’s ultimate and most powerful redemptive expression, and rose again to prove his victory over sin and death.

We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives.

We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and the ‘new birth’ we must repent of our sins, believe in Jesus Christ, and submit to his ongoing will for our lives.

We believe that in order to live the holy and fruitful life God intends for us, we need to be baptized in water and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit enables us to use all of the spiritual gifts made available to the life of the believer.

We believe that the Bible is God’s written word to us. It is inspired, authoritative, and incorporates us into the greater narrative of God’s plan for humanity as we live by it.
